On 8 April, at the 2021 Linkshop Conference and Tribute to 20 Years of Chinese Retail Award Ceremony, SCE Funworld was awarded the "Outstanding Commercial Property City Operator of the Year 2020" for its excellent integrated strengths and outstanding operational capabilities. Previously, SCE Funworld has won numerous awards and is well recognized by the industry.

With the main theme of "Glory and Dreams", this year's conference brought together government leaders, retail elites, business celebrities, scholars and experts, and mainstream media to witness the surging 20 years of Chinese retail industry. The award ceremony was set up to pay tribute and praise to the outstanding enterprises and brands in different industries.


In 2020, China SCE Group perfectly fulfilled its hundred-billion-target, which reassures SCE Funworld's scale development strategy of "One Hundred FUNWORLD in Five Years". Driven by the Group's strategy of "primary business supplemented by synergic business activities", the “One Hundred Funworld Plan” is executed in full speed and being expanded at a rate of 20 locations per year following the development direction of "national chain, regional exploration, core expansion, key planning".

In the first year of the “One Hundred Funworld Plan”, SCE Funworld has made rapid land acquisition and achieved remarkable results. As of 31 March 2021, 32 Funworld shopping malls have been established across the country, covering 28 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Nanchang, Fuzhou, Kunming, and Quanzhou, with a total of 42 projects in operation and under construction. The promoting strategic objectives with high efficiency and quality helps to accelerate the nationwide expansion and planning.

In December 2020, relying on its confidence and professionalism, the project team successfully overcame the difficulties caused by the pandemic after meticulous preparation within only 18 months. The two SCE Funworld shopping malls, located in Shuitou and Xianyou of Fujian province, made their grand openings in succession, fulfilling the promise of perfect commencement on schedule and achieving both speed and quality. Meanwhile, benefit from the accurate research and estimation of the surrounding consumer base and market potential, the shopping malls have quickly advanced to the stage with crowded customers and thriving business after the openings, and have celebrated the 100th day with a remarkable result of both customer flow and sales.


As the debut project of the "One Hundred FUNWORLD in Five Years" strategy, Shuitou SCE Funworld was awarded the "Mall China 2020 Golden Mall Industry Star" (「中購聯2020購物中心行業星秀獎」) for its outstanding performance in marketing, scenarios and industry combination.
